GDD Works (COMPFUN)

This section consists of the works I did in my subject: COMPFUN (Computer Fundamentals). There were only a few works here since most of them were lectures. Every session was fun since our professor made every meeting so awesome and interesting. I learned a lot of new concepts here that I know I will use, eventually and I realized that there are some things that I believed in that aren't true. It helped me clarify things.

This is the game proposal that our professor told us to make for our final project. This game is called "Terpsichore". This is kind of like a combination of DDR (Dance Dance Revolution; a famous arcade game here in the country) and TTR (Tap Tap Revenge; a famous game in the Mac, particularly the iPod, iPhone and iPad series). My group proposed that it should be available in all consoles. The game is that you need to press the right buttons for the character to dance. The one with the highest points wins. This image shows the multiplayer mode of the game. I was the artist in the group and I honestly had fun in creating the characters and concept arts.

This is one of the characters you can choose from in the game. I used markers for this one when it comes to coloring

Another character you can choose from in the game. Same medium.
Also another character for the game.

The other character you can choose from. Each character has a unique personality and specialty in the game so, choose carefully.

This is a rough sketch/design on how the worlds of the game would look like. The worlds are featured in the adventure part of the game. I really liked the concepts made here. We got a really nice grade during our presentation. I hope that this game may push through, once I graduate.

SDA Works (DESPRIN)

This is a continuation of my SDA works. This time it's the ones that I've done during the second term. The subject is DESPRIN. This subject taught me about the various aspects of design. I had in creating these plates because it was fun playing with the principles and elements of design. The way you play with the colors and lines were really amazing.

This is a plate that shows dots or pointillism. The topic of the plate has to be 2 different video games incorporated into one picture. I decided to draw Luigi and Link because they're quite easy to draw and they're my favorite characters. I had fun coloring this despite the long hours of hand pain.

This is the second plate in which we discussed about lines. Our professor said that we should use the variety of lines that we learned in class and create a picture with it. Honestly, I felt satisfied with it, at first but then, I realized that it wasn't enough. I should've used the spaces more and I should've made a more complex design. Still, I got a good grade with this and I had fun making it.

This plate was created when the class learned about shades. This took a long time to make since I didn't really know how to assemble the statue correctly; it was made out of illustration board. I also need to be very careful and precise in making this because one wrong step (like wrong size on the face of the shape) means I need to make it again. It was kind of sad that I wasted some bits and pieces of the remaining illustration board but, I was happy that I got to finish it the way I wanted it to look like. It looks like a rocket ship from a sci-fi movie, honestly. I was also happy with the way I painted it because I always have difficulty with paint and now, I'm slowly improving.

For this one, the class learned about color and how you can use primary colors to create all the colors in the color wheel. I was honestly surprised that you can create the many shades and hues of colors using red, yellow and blue. I also had a hard time with this because I can't really tell if the green I created is the right shade of green or something similar. It was really hard that I had to ask my prof if it was the right hue. Nevertheless, it was really fun making the colors. It was fun playing with paint. I just don't like the time you need to make it dry and the right solution for it to look nice and dry fast, at the same time.

This plate is for our midterms; as seen in the image above. It focuses on emphasis and direct complementary colors. I chose that theme because I thought that society and an outcast can best portray a message on the emphasis of something. I chose the colors blue and orange because I wanted to use a cool and warm color to make it stand out more. The girl there is the outcast and is blue because she is sad that she's left out. I had fun painting this despite the time limit.

This plate is about the lesson of balance. We need to create a radial balance that uses analogous colors. I was pleased with the result of this plate because I learned how to paint in one direction and it turned out better than I imagined. I really like the simplicity of the design here and how the colors were executed.

This plate shows the different styles you can use in a drawing. I needed to use the color theories we learned during that time and incorporate them in the realistic, conventional, geometric and abstract styles. I really had fun with this one because I realized that I can actually paint well, if I had enough time to do it. Also, I realized that it takes a lot of practice and technique to do something like this. I am proud with how this turned out (although, I should've made the geometric one with more obvious shapes).

This plate is actually our finals for DESPRIN. We had to create a pattern. I couldn't really think of a good one so, this is what happened. I had a hard time coloring it because I used a pen for that instead of paint.  I still had fun, though.

SDA Works (ESTHETA)

Hey guys! Here's some of my works that I did in the field of arts (since I divided the part into two: programs and arts). These were mostly inspired by my imagination and from the various video games that I see and experience. Hope you enjoy them! In every drawing, I pour my heart and soul into it! :D

First would be from my subject, ESTHETA. This subject was during the first term wherein I learned all about beauty and how it should be perceived.

This drawing I made was a plate that I drew. Our professor told us to describe ourselves; our real and hidden selves. I used various media for this one and I had fun making this because I get to release all of me into my work. I got a really great grade for this one. I'm really proud of this work.

This is a part of the plate above. When you place the two side by side, you get to see one big picture of me. The two sides of me. Again, I had fun with this because I got to release everything in order to express my true feelings about me. The person there is somehow a look-alike of Link (though I had no intention of that; it was supposed to be my dark side).

This one is another plate wherein you need to draw yourself as a mythological character. I chose this design because I wanted to show them that I had two sides; one wherein everyone sees and the other that they don't really know about me. I had fun making this plate because drawing people is somehow my specialty. I colored it that way to resemble unity despite the complements used.
